London--FINA/NVC Diving World Series 2015

The FINA/NVC Diving World Series took  place at the London Aquatics Centre from May 1-3.

Day 1: China wins all four events in London

The women’s and men’s 3m Synchro Springboard and women’s and men’s 10m Synchro Platform all went China’s way just as they had at the three earlier events in the Diving World Series in Beijing, Dubai and Kazan.

Day 2: Russia breaks China’s dominance

Russia’s Evgeny Kuznetsov broke China’s dominance of the FINA/NVC Diving World Series in London taking gold in a high scoring, high quality men’s 3m springboard final. 
It was the first gold medal of the London event to go to a diver outside China.

Kuznetsov’s secured his win by the slimmest of margins finishing just 0.05 of a point ahead of Germany’s Patrick Hausding who ended the night with 519.35 points.

Day 3: Tom Daley (GBR) takes gold in the platform event

People came in their hundreds to support Britain’s Olympic bronze medallist, Tom Daley, and he didn’t disappoint taking gold in the men’s 10m Platform on the final day of the FINA/NVC Diving World Series in London in front of a packed home crowd.

In a commanding display Daley led from start to finish ending his six dive routine with 554.05 points for a comfortable 35.30 point victory over China’s Yang Jian, winner of the 2014 World Series in London, who took silver with 518.75 points.
